Antique silverplated inkwell and stand.  This piece has elements of Victorian and Art Nouveau styles.  The medallion on the stand and cherub on the lid of the inkwell indicate a Victorian influence, while the remainder of the stand exhibits more of a free-flowing naturalistic design resembling Art Nouveau.  The silverplating is a French Grey finish and 95% or more is intact.  The stand measures 7 1/2 inches by 5 inches; and is about 2 1/4 inches tall.  The inkwell is glass with silverplated hinged lid with embossed flower and cherub.  Both pieces are in excellent antique condition.  Unmarked, probably French.
