This antique silverplated soup ladle is 1901 Avon" a lovely Art Nouveau pattern by 1847 Rogers. It is the largest of the 3 oyster soup ladles, measuring 11 1/2 inches long (with a 3 3/8 inch wide bowl) and is in excellent condition. This particular piece has a rich, warm patina with beautifully oxidized details. Backstamp: 1847 Rogers Bros. A1 (now International Silver Co.).
