This antique sterling silver piece is the 1898 La Fayette pattern by Baker Manchester Mfg. Co., a company well known for unusual silverware. The spoon measures 5 716 inches long.� The original intent of this piece could have been either as a sugar sifter or bon bon spoon as it includes some of the characteristics of both. This pattern features a face on the handle (see closeup photo). The pierced bowl has a bright cut design and is gold washed. No monogram. The backstamp includes the Baker Manchester logo and "sterling". Very good+ condition.
