Very large and fancy vintage silverplate candelabrum with 3 lights. Height is 18 1/2 inches and the 3-light spread is 17 1/2 inches. This is a versatile piece which can be used in 3 ways, from very formal to casual. It comes apart and can also be used as a tall single candleholder, or a shorter single candleholder. For less formal or more intimate occasions, you can remove the 3 light candelabra top for a 12 1/4 inch single candleholder, or go for the shorter one at 5 1/2 inches tall (see additional image). The raised pattern is of leaves and scrolls. Condition is excellent. Two are in stock if you would like the matching candelabra pair.
The pattern name is unknown and this particular pattern is often referred to as BIM13 and BIMBIM13. This piece was made and marked by GSC (Goldfeder Silverware Company), maker of fine, high quality silverplated tableware and holloware. It was produced sometime between 1932 and 1957. Goldfeder became Birmingham Silver Co. about 1957.
Candles not included.
Note: We are using the terms candelabrum and candelabra interchangeably due to common usage (and misuse) in today's language. The original singular is "candelabrum" and the original plural is "candelabra". Recent common plurals are "candelabrums", and "candelabras".
