Silver and Flatware Grading GuidelinesWe are very critical of the condition of all items. These are the guidelines we use for describing the condition of silver and flatware.
Brand New or New: Straight from the factory.
Excellent: A previously-owned, estate piece which was rarely used or not at all. May also be described as 'unused'.
Very Good: The piece shows signs of gentle use but no wear, damage or repair.
Good: The piece shows moderate use. In some cases, wear may be present and is stated in the description. "Slight imperfection" means unnoticeable flaws.
Fair: We rarely list pieces in this condition unless it is an unusual or very hard-to-find piece or pattern. It would have noticeable flaws which would be detailed in the description.
Monogram: ***If a piece has a monogram, this information is stated in the description*** |
