This antique sterling silver fish knife / slice serving piece is the 1862 Gibney pattern. The serving knife measures 12 inches long, has a pierced blade with cusped and waved right edge. The design is very similar to the Union pattern by John R. Wendt. The backstamp reads "Ball Black & Co STERLING PATENT 1862".
